The Working Week: Deirdre Kenny of CTPartners

This week, Wayne chews over the news with Deirdre Kenny, Managing Partner (London) of CTPartners, previously Christian & Timbers, one of the world’s top-ten global executive search firms. In particular, they explore whether more of us are really wondering whether the grass is greener on the other side of the corporate fence and if so, what organisations can do about it.

7 minutes - Wayne asks Deirdre about generational gaps in the workplace and possible outcomes on recruitment.

More questions are being asked by candidates about the value system of a company, what it will do for them etc. They have a different idea about what they expect out of life.

8 minutes 10 seconds - Sometimes it takes a look at the bottom-line impact responds Deirdre.

8 minutes 35 seconds – Organisations are concerned that if they cannot keep good people on board, word will spread and could impact their brand as a good employer comments Deirdre.

9 minutes 31 seconds – Deirdre explains that at CTPartners, job seekers are told that they need to take personal responsibility if they are to get the most out of the role. “We want to find people who are constantly growing and constantly challenging themselves”, she concludes.
